A passive, highly efficient dust control system designed to be mounted directly over conveyor transfer chutes. It features a specialized, anti-static filter cloth with unique self-cleaning properties. The fabric is engineered to allow overpressure generated by falling material to escape freely, while capturing and retaining fine dust particles. Captured dust is periodically cleared via an integrated mechanical scraper, returning the material directly to the conveyor.

Expanded End-Use Industrial Applications:

Application 1: Port Ship-Discharge Conveyor Chutes

Unloading massive bulk agricultural shipments (wheat, corn, soy) at ports creates enormous dust clouds at conveyor transfer chutes due to high drop heights. Active baghouse dust collectors are extremely expensive to install, consume massive electrical energy, and require frequent filter bag changes. The S.F.I. DustBox provides an elegant, passive solution: it vents the massive overpressure freely while retaining 100% of the grain dust, returning it right back to the belt without active power consumption.

Application 2: Animal Feed & Grain Processing Mills

Organic dust in feed mills is highly explosive. Accumulation of fine dust on rafters and equipment poses a critical explosion hazard. The DustBox captures organic particles at the source. Its specialized anti-static fabric prevents static electricity buildup, safely capturing fine particles and preventing them from becoming airborne, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant facility.

Application 3: Chemical Fertilizer Packaging Lines

Packaging and conveying highly dry, fine potash or chemical salts produces highly corrosive dust that quickly destroys nearby electronic equipment and structures. Standard steel filter housings corrode rapidly. By utilizing the stainless steel variant of S.F.I.'s DustBox, chemical plants can passively trap and reclaim these valuable salts, preventing corrosive dust from escaping into the warehouse.
